原文标题：Won’t budge on South China Sea sovereignty: China
“China cannot be labeled as the most militaristic. This label is more suited to other countries,” Wang said.
What the heck China thinks it is? Just being a big nation with a huge land mass and enough of waterways within its vicinity, it should keep its mouth shut. The South China Sea belongs to international community and not China. Just because the sea has China as one of its words does not mean that the whole of South China Sea belongs to it…..Shows how petty and silly China is, a plain bully
@Brown American: The Chinese don’t claim the South China Sea (at least not all of it) because of the name, they do so officially due to historic reasons, and more realistically for more practical reasons such as resource security and as insurance against possible future conflict.
World stop using MADE IN CHINA products. That will make that country see some sense. Worried to see noodles and rice made of plastic coming into INDIA.
South China sea doesn’t belongs to China alone. India along with USA, Japan should carry joint naval exercise to contain China
In my view, China is hitting above its weight. South China Sea is not Chinese any more than the Indian Ocean is Indian. Both are international waters and should remain open to the navigation of all countries according to international law. If China goes on insisting that South China Sea is under Chinese sovereignty, then the rest of the world will have to conclude that China is forging one more decisive cause of WWIII. Clearly, the incumbent of the White House after 21 January 2017 will have a major question that she or he will be called upon to deal with early in her or his tenure. China should not think that its victory in that war is axiomatic. China has surrounded itself with petty satellites (eg Pakistan, North Korea) who will be liability more than they will be asset. Other nations – notably Russia – will think carefully before throwing in their lot with China. Several other countries (eg India) shall be reluctant to take sides but may be sucked in. That is an outside chance of a course of world affairs but not altogether unrealistic. V. C. Bhutani, Delhi, 9 Mar 2016, 0554 IST
China is trying to do in South China Sea what it did in 1950s with Tibet, that is, grab it by stealth if not then by force. Unfortunately, Nehru blinded by his perceived greatness and to project himself in the international arena as a world Statesman, turned a blind eye to the biggest real Estate grab in the last century, with fatal consequences for India. The world also ignored the the land grab as America was engaged with the Korean War. This time with USA involvement as well as other countries, China should under no circumstances allowed to get away with its bulling tactics.
China doesn’t claim the whole of South China Sea. Just claims a couple of islands within the SCS. Article seems biased and spreads hate.
Read the governments statement. I agree with you as your comments imply that China has no right to all of China Sea.
