原文标题：Who decides which country is a superpower and which is not?
Only the USA
we never Hear china Russia India making such Stupid Unprovable silly ego building statements
A super-power is a nation capable of engaging in military conflicts around the world without destroying its economy or risking it’s future. At one time it was Britain with a Navy that sailed the world and with colonies around the globe. Now it’s the USA. It was a role shared with the Soviet Ubion but now most people would begin to think of China as the next great superpower.
It’s determined by the economic and military power a country has, the US has an enormous economy so it has a lot of economic power (debt doesn’t factor into this power) and it is the only country on earth with the logistical ability to land 50,000 troops anywhere on earth and theoretically keep them supplied indefinitely.
Russia used to have both those qualities but lost them at the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Once they lost those attributes they lost status as a super power.
It is not something which is awarded, rather something that is seen by contemporary academic consensus.
Usually a superpower is a country which can command a continental-sized sphere of influence or extend and maintain its sphere of influence by sea power

This was a term coined by America in the 60s the refer to themselves and possibly the then Soviet Union. America is the only one left now. China might be in line sooner or later ? No-one decides of course.
No one decides… Actions speak louder than words…. Seems like terrorists and ISIS are turning into a super power…. Time for all peaceful nations to join together and destroy their arrogant behavior, killings and money threats….. This is not some silly game, and then someone gets crowned KING :(((

Long term stability in economics, peace and order, military might, and health care for its people.
Last but not the least is trust and faith in tomorrow (its future)
