China, Russia seeking their own Internet, warns former Intel chairman
The cyber pact that China and Russia signedon Friday threatens online freedom and represents a “real, concrete step”toward an alternative Internet, according to former House IntelligenceCommittee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.).

“I think this is a huge, bad step for theInternet and economic prosperity on the Internet moving forward,” Rogers saidduring remarks Monday at the Hudson Institute, where he is a distinguishedfellow.
Russia and China pledged on Friday not to hack each other.
“They’re going to focus those resources onthe United States, and I think any innovative economy in the world, which isbad for the rest of the innovative economies in the world,” Rogers said.
The two countries will also jointly developtechnology that protects their “socio-economic atmosphere,” including campaignsto thwart technologies that might “disturb public order” or “interfere withaffairs of the state,” he said
“Meaning,” Rogers said, “it will be themother of all dissent trackers. You won’t be able to have a moment of peace ifyou’re a dissenter in China or Russia. And they’re going to work together onthat, which I found fascinating.”
Russia and China are widely regarded as theUnited States’ two main cyber adversaries. Both boast first-tier hackingcapabilities and work to keep a tight grip on what appears online.
Currently, the nonprofit responsible forglobal Internet maintenance — the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names andNumbers (ICANN) — gives governing bodies input, but not final say.
In Friday’s deal, Rogers saw the biggeststep yet in the effort to manufacture another approach.
“They’re creating this alternative outthere, that they say is just an alternative, to what we would know as theInternet,” he said. “They’re going to go take it to developing countries.”
Economies are rapidly developing in Africaand Southeast Asia, and Rogers worries China and Russia will export theirversion of the Internet to these locations. The result could be restrictedglobal access to products and ideas in the region.
“It is something [Russia and China] will beable to control,” he said. Traffic to these countries “doesn’t have to gothrough the World Wide Web anymore. It goes through this system, which has beenset up mainly by China.”
As the U.S. and Europe have started topress for United Nations norms guaranteeing Internet freedom, Russia and Chinahave led a movement in the opposite direction.

The US spying on its citizens, other worldleaders and citizens are the cause of this. The US is foolish to think thatwould be allowed to continue. The bumbling idiots in the US are destroyingeverything.

US has been unable to control the risingAsia !.
It’s no doubt, China and Russia will go forit !
Another shameless sayings from U.S.
US Treasury Secretary JohnNixon • Connally famously: “The dollar is our currency, but yourproblem”.
Well, if US continue “moneyprinting”, then many countries will dump
the Dollar faster than you think. No onecan hurts the big country like America
unless they hurts themselves, moneyprinting is one of them. No doubt !

The U.S. dollar is appreciating, whichmeans less inflation. How much blind anti-American shit will I have to readtoday?

The american people don’t like secrets orspying of any kind. That is clear in every independent poll. The vast majority(87%) demanded an end to the stalking and spying on US citizen suspected of nocrime when Eric Snowden revealed the extent of their activities. They ignoredus and continued while many of our Allies discovered their security was beinghacked by the NSA as well.
The public watched as the NSA director liedto congress just months before Snowden offered proof the contrary. Thewhistle-blower who acted out of patriotism and a love of freedoms and privacythat americans have enjoyed for two centuries was called a criminal for tellingthe truth to the people, when the person who lied to our highest legislativebody retained his golden parachute amongst the elite.
The people now see a flagrant disregard forthe will of the people and the rule of law firmly entrenched in the highestlevels of our government. How can our congress be considered true to theiroaths of office when they take no action against the activities a overwhelmingmajority americans are deeply against? These are not secret projects orNational security issues, they are basic rights issues and a form of forcedvoluntarism.
They volunteer us to be subject to anyinjustice they deem a national security issue. The people can now see from thereactions of our allies that our security is being threatened by The NSA’sillegal activities. Our basic rights are also in danger of being lost. Theelite have exercised so much power in our government and the militaryindustrial complex along with the international and domestic communicationscompanies that just by using a third party provider we give them the legalbasis for spying on us.

Kudos to you Mr. Joseph Plemmons, wellsaid.
